January 20, 2025 (Boston, MA) – President Donald Trump’s energy policies will end leasing to wind farms that bring clean, local, and renewable power to families and businesses throughout the United States. Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) released the following statement in response.
“Offshore wind is a critical part of our region’s efforts to reduce dirty, polluting fossil fuel, create good-paying jobs, and ensure long-term savings for families and businesses,” said Kate Sinding Daly, CLF Senior Vice President for Law and Policy. “The potential benefits for Massachusetts and the nation are enormous. We cannot afford to let misinformation undermine the future we value and are working toward.”
Wind energy is an essential building block of New England’s clean energy transition. With offshore wind energy developed in the right way and in the right places, we can oust dirty, polluting fossil fuel from New England.
