On behalf of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island and the Conservation Law Foundation, we write to express our strong support for the Act On Climate 2020 bill and thank Reps. Blazejewski, Abney, Bennett, Carson, and Ruggiero and Sens. Euer, Lynch Prata, Conley, Sosnowski, and Goodwin for their leadership in introducing this important legislation.
Passage of the Act On Climate bill (H7399 and S2165) will force Rhode Island to tackle our climate emissions throughout our entire economy at a rate that aligns with science. It will bring Rhode Island more in line with our neighboring states. Rhode Island must play its part in reducing emissions if we are to avert the worst of the climate crisis.
