Intern at CLF

CLF strives to mentor the next generation of environmental advocates by offering a number of paid internships at our New England offices each year. While most of our internship openings are for current law students, we also have opportunities for undergraduates and non-legal graduate students available every summer.

We begin accepting applications for summer legal internships during the latter part of August of the year before the internship (for example, we would begin accepting applications for a summer 2030 internship in late August of 2029). We typically fill all our summer legal internship openings by early February.

We also accept academic year legal intern or externships for both the fall and spring terms. Submit your application at least two months prior to the beginning of the academic term you’re interested in.

Our openings for undergraduate and non-legal graduate students are very limited and usually only available in the summer, though very occasionally we also have academic year non-legal internships. Any summer non-legal internship opportunity will generally be posted between December and early April.
