We have always been active in our community on environmental issues. In 1978, we worked with a coalition of groups in Connecticut to pass the state’s first bottle bill! But we didn’t stop there. We founded an organic regenerative farm and worked with our town to enact a no-pesticide policy on nearly all town-owned land, among other things.
We have been CLF members for so long that we can’t recall one specific entry point, but we were drawn to CLF because of its regional approach and its ability to use the law to change local communities. David is a litigator, and we know that the law is a powerful and effective tool. This combination is unique, and we know that we can count on CLF to lead the way for change across New England.
We appreciate that CLF connects with its members through events, which inspires us and gives us the tools to engage with elected officials to help provide a sustainable direction for our town.
We hope that CLF will continue to inspire future generations of New Englanders to take action in their communities to fight climate change and protect our natural resources.
