Celebrate Public Spaces on Boston’s Waterfront

Come celebrate Boston’s public spaces with Conservation Law Foundation and our partners on Thursday, July 25, at the Public Green in the Seaport. Pitch a blanket with your friends and neighbors, enjoy games and refreshments, and learn more about your rights along Boston’s waterfront.

Thursday, July 25 | 5:30–7pm
The Public Green, Seaport District

Getting out and pitching a blanket with us is a great way to reclaim public spaces in Boston’s Seaport and Downtown Waterfront areas. The more active the public space, the more likely we are to maintain a vibrant Boston Harbor. It’s the only way the harbor will remain the People’s Harbor.

Let us know you’re coming: RSVP here.

Can’t make it on the 25th? You can pitch a blanket with friends and family on your own! Click here for our guide on how to host your own “pitch a blanket” day along the waterfront.

And here are more ways that you can get involved in protecting Boston Harbor:

Pledge to Protect the People’s Harbor. Join our fight by signing our pledge today.

Know Your Rights. Read our People’s Guide to the Massachusetts Public Waterfront Act to find out how you can get involved when new developments are being planned for waterfront neighborhoods.

Get Out and Enjoy Boston’s Waterfront. This interactive map can help you discover and navigate public spaces along the Harborwalk that are privately owned. The tool includes restrooms, green lawns, seating areas, fishing docks, and observation decks.
