CLF Releases Study of Flooding in Boston’s Waterfront Open Spaces

“The public can’t access protected public spaces if they are underwater,” said Bradley Campbell, President of CLF. “Rising seas and more intense storms are already inundating parks and developed properties once safely above the tide line — a sobering glimpse of the more dramatic changes to come. Massachusetts eyeing more renewable energy-friendly future

One bill sponsored by Stoneham Democratic state Rep. Michael Day seeks to help save taxpayer dollars spent trying to recycle what the Conservation Law Foundation describes as wasteful packaging. Another piece of legislation supported by CLF would require all large-scale fleets of vehicles in Massachusetts — public and private — to go electric by 2035.

Getting Lead Out of Vermont School and Childcare Drinking Water

Lead is often lurking in the fountains and faucets our kids drink from every day at schools across Vermont. And right now, there is no mandate for schools to test for it. Proactively removing lead fixtures and plumbing and testing for lead in drinking water is the only way we can know for sure that our schools and childcare centers are providing safe water.
