Susan Poswistilo, Esq. comes to CLF after a long career with the U.S. Department of Justice, and recently retired from her position as Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) in the District of Massachusetts in December 2021. During her tenure as an AUSA, Susan served in both the civil and criminal divisions of the United States Attorney’s Office. On the civil side, she litigated a wide variety of matters, including torts, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, administrative law, and environmental law. For a two-year period, Susan was also based in Washington, D.C., where she was temporarily assigned to work with the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, in the wake of the devastating BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. As a criminal prosecutor, she specialized in drug cases and health care fraud. For her work in health care fraud, Susan was awarded the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award in 2020 and the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service in 2010. Susan earned her B.S. degree from the University of Scranton and J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
