Lisa Gianelly, Esq. has a background in real estate and commercial law. Lisa began her career at WilmerHale, where she practiced in both the Real Estate Department and the Commercial Law Department, before moving to the Property and Finance Department at Nixon Peabody. At both firms and as a board member at the Lawyers Clearinghouse on Housing and Homelessness and at a non-profit housing developer, she pursued her interest in affordable housing development. She left her legal practice to take over the helm of a small history publishing company, which she continues to run part-time. In 2019, she joined CLF as a Senior Fellow, working primarily on transportation matters until early 2022. Since 2022 and as an extension of her interest in both land use and the climate crisis, Lisa became a Certified Master Gardener. In 2024, she returned to the Senior Fellows program to help explore the intersection of environmental justice and housing. She holds an A.B. in European History from Harvard College and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
