Thalia Chaves is the Program Assistant for Strategic Litigation at CLF. She works to further CLF’s strategic litigation program management, active litigation cases, and cases in development. Thalia joins CLF following her graduation from Boston College this May, where she graduated with a B.A. in International Relations. She wrote her senior honors thesis on the feasibility of developing green hydrogen equitably in the global south.
Thalia interned in Ireland for a housing reform NGO during the Ukrainian refugee crisis, as well as in a congressional office and law firm. She also attended the United Nations COP27 in Egypt as a Boston College delegate and served as the president of the student advisory board to BC’s new climate change academic department. Her first language was Portuguese because her father is Portuguese, and her mother is Brazilian. She also speaks English, some Spanish, and is learning Italian. In her free time, she loves learning to cook new cuisines.
