Sweeping Energy Bill Becomes Law in MA, RI Governor Vetoes Critical Renewable Energy Bill

MA Governor Patrick has signed a wide-ranging energy bill that will significantly boost funding for energy efficiency measures and encourage investments in renewable energy, including wind and solar projects.

In stark contract, RI Governor Carcieri has vetoed a bill to boost development of wind, solar and renewable energy through long-term contracts.  CLF worked with utilities and wind developers to draft the bill.
